Central Power is a locally owned, family business with 25 years of experience in delivering a broad range of distribution services on the existing PowerCor network as a Local Service Agent (LSA) as well as building the future power distribution requirements for new urban residential developments. Our residential work is split between multi-plot subdivision large scale projects as well as single plot private Land Developers. 

Our highly skilled and versatile workforce bring with them cumulative centuries of on-the-job experience with many having been loyal to the company for 20 years.

Central Power was established in December 1997 in Maryborough as Powercor Australia’s Local Service Agent by Frank Fitzgibbon, Brendon Tranter, and Rick McCarthy (all formerly SEC and Powercor Australia linesmen).

 Brendon Tranter, Managing Director, continues to own and manage Central Power. Our Depots are in the situated in the heart of Victoria - Maryborough (Head Office), Charlton and Ararat.

Our role in rural Victoria is to represent Powercor effectively and to enhance our and PowerCor’s reputation within the community. This means not only being a good responsive performer but also being a good corporate citizen. Central Power supports our employees and their local clubs, associations, and schools in the local area to enhance their ability to support the community whilst also building our reputation.
